Device Security & Privacy Disclosure
At SuperBox, device reliability, system integrity, and user privacy are important priorities in the distribution and support of our products. This disclosure explains the Android operating systems used in SuperBox devices, how firmware updates are managed, and the practices we follow to help maintain a stable and secure device environment.
Android Operating System
SuperBox devices operate on Android-based smart TV platforms designed to support modern application compatibility and smooth device performance.
Current SuperBox models use the following Android versions:
- SuperBox S7 Pro / S7 Max / S7 Ultra — Android 12
- SuperBox S6 Pro / S6 Max / S6 Ultra — Android 12
These operating systems are selected to provide stable functionality, compatibility with supported applications, and access to standard Android security features.
Non-Rooted System Environment
All SuperBox devices are distributed with a non-rooted operating system configuration.
The system software is not intentionally modified to bypass standard Android security protections or enable unauthorized system-level access. Maintaining a non-rooted environment helps preserve system stability and supports standard Android security mechanisms and application verification processes.
SuperBox devices are designed to operate within standard Android TV software environments without unauthorized firmware modifications.
Official OTA Firmware Updates
SuperBox firmware updates are delivered through official Over-the-Air (OTA) update systems provided by the manufacturer.
Our firmware management practices include:
- Firmware updates distributed through official update channels
- Firmware packages reviewed prior to release
- No unauthorized system modifications applied by our store
- No unapproved third-party APK applications pre-installed on devices
- Software environments intended to support stable and secure operation
These practices help provide users with a clean and reliable software environment while reducing risks associated with unauthorized system modifications.
Device Integrity & Security Review
As part of our distribution process, SuperBox devices may undergo routine inspection and verification procedures before shipment.
These procedures are intended to help confirm that the system software has not been altered and does not contain known malicious software, unauthorized backdoor mechanisms, or unapproved system modifications.
We also monitor publicly available Android security research and industry reports related to Android-based streaming and smart TV devices. When relevant security information becomes available, additional internal reviews may be conducted when appropriate.
Third-Party Applications & Content Services
SuperBox devices are hardware products that support the installation and use of third-party applications and streaming services.
SuperBox does not own, host, operate, manage, or control third-party applications, media services, or content accessed by users. Availability of applications and services may vary based on region, subscription status, software compatibility, and provider policies.
Some streaming applications and services may require separate subscriptions, accounts, or service agreements.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of third-party applications and content complies with applicable laws, copyright regulations, and service provider terms.
